Adedapo Adegboyega-Conde is the executive director of Pyramid Educational Advancement (P.E.A) Foundation. His major responsibilities include creating strategies and programs as well as leading a largely volunteer workforce to achieve the organization’s goal and objectives.
While Adedapo was growing up in the Alagbado area of Lagos state, there was no public library in his densely populated community and this fact limited his access to academic and non-academic books (like biographies and self-help books) that could inspire and guide his young impressionable mind. Even though his teachers have often described him as bright, the lack of good role models and mentoring has led him to make wrong academic and life decisions. For instance, he believes that he should have gone to commercial or art class in secondary school instead of pure science class. Hence his decision to establish or co-found P.E.A. Foundation and his goal is to ensure that the indigent in society also have access to books and a quiet reading space. He believes that with access to books, quality mentoring and positive guidance, an indigent child can change his world.
He is also a trained public relations practitioner and has also undergone entrepreneurship training with the Enterprise Development Center, Pan Atlantic University and Fate Foundation. He uses his excellent organizational and administrative skills to lead his team as they engage various stakeholders to support their goal of establishing libraries and providing mentorship for young people living in under-served communities
