The library was commissioned on February 20, 2014.
The library currently is the only functional library in Ojokoro communiry and Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government. The library is a 28 seater library with about 70 users visiting the library daily and operating hours are from 9am – 6pm, Monday through Saturdays. A total of 7,186 people used the library in 2016 and they comprise of children, teenagers and adults (age 9-60 years old).
In addition to a conducive reading space for users as well as access to books, the Ojokoro Community Library also provides daily newspapers for users to read and the older users are more interested in this.
Due to the consistent use of the library, at least 60 people visit daily and it is opened for 6 days in a week; the facility requires maintenance and perhaps expansion – to accommodate more use per time.[/mpc_textblock]
