When I moved into the Ojokoro Community in 2014 after I graduated from secondary school, I didn’t have any friends and knew only a few places. So when my mum informed me about a job opening at the Ojokoro Community Library, I jumped at it because it was an opportunity to leave home everyday and also earn some money. Oh! how much I needed the money because I didn’t want to depend on my parents for every little thing I needed.
9 months volunteering at the Library has made me so popular that when I walk down the street, I hear some people screaming Librarian, while others call me Library aunty. P.E.A. Foundation is touching so many lives in so many ways that it’s now an integral part of my life and no matter where I go, I will never ever forget about them.
