Majority of the students of Ijaiye Ojokoro Senior College were and still are regular users of Ojokoro Community Library and currently the Ojokoro Library is the only functional library in the community and because of this, the human population congestion was always very high. An average of 80 users patronize the library per day; a library which can only take 28 people at a single time, which leaves the community users to play the survival of the fittest game.
The then principal of the school, Mr. Olusegun Owojuyigbe, met with PEA Executive Director and made known his interest of having a library in the school. For him this would be like a milestone before retiring and for PEA Foundation it would be a way of reducing the heavy traffic at the community library.
His request was considered and the school Library was developed. It currently has over 500 books that is put to use by the school students. The library was formally commissioned by Mr. Tunde Oduwole on 4th of June, 2016.
